In Uttrakhand, Prayatna Sanstha is a nonprofit organisation established in 4th March, 2014 that promotes youth and children from disadvantaged backgrounds via education and empowerment. The organisation focuses on giving children and young adults from economically underprivileged areas of society quality education, vocational training, and life skills. In addition to advancing gender equality, Prayatna Sanstha seeks to enhance the health and sanitation of the communities it serves.

Our Story
“What we have done for ourselves alone dies with Us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.”
- The Prayatna Ek Samajik Sanstha is governed by a network of bodies with its primary administrative office in Rishikesh. The Governing Board is made up of 7 committed social workers with extensive experience working at the community level in the field of urban and rural development.
- Our NGO in Rishikesh focus on a wide range of issues and areas. These might include women’s rights, the health of the environment and planet, healthcare, political advocacy, labor unions, religious faith, care of aging adults, and youth empowerment.
- Being in the education field, the family had witnessed how education might change a child’s life. So they committed to build a school. They support empowering the underprivileged groups, which include women, children, youth, and people with disabilities. The Foundation has always aimed to strengthen the aforementioned communities.
- An additional driving force behind this movement was the Pandemic’s concern for sanitation. Making the environment sanitary and clean became the new focus as a result.
